Genuine Scooters was founded by a couple of guys selling scooter parts out of an old warehouse in Chicago. They had one thing in mind: Bring a better scooter to the United States.

Genuine has been putting riders (and smiles!) on scooters for more than fifteen years. From our ever-popular Buddy and Roughhouse, to the Hooligan, Venture and Kick, Genuine has introduced scooters to a community of passionate two-wheel enthusiasts who have created a scooter culture that has expanded in ways we never thought possible.

And that expansion continues with the launch of our first Genuine motorcycle called the G400C. With its fuel injected engine and 5-speed transmission, this retro styled motorcycle is the perfect bike for riding on big city streets, passing through small town America and traveling the roads that take you to your destination!

It has been said that no love is greater than that of a father for His son. Lance Powersports is the namesake of the company’s founder’s son, Lance. It is a daily reminder that our valued customers, dealers associates and partners are part of our family…. our “Lance” Powersports family. Our brand is a reminder to our uncompromising love to constantly develop, cultivate, inspire and care for our valued customers, dealers, associates and partners. 

THE LANCE HERITAGE

Lance began in 2004 with humble beginnings offering an array of unique motorsports vehicles to the marketplace. Lance’s success and immediate brand recognition was driven by value oriented motorsports and a relentless passion for consistent improvements. 

In 2006, Lance launched a full line of motor scooters to franchise scooter dealerships nationwide. Lance was quickly recognized by both dealerships and consumers as offering a unique product lineup off scooters with excellent customer support making them the best value in the industry. 

In 2009, Lance’s commitment to its customers and its impact on the market place caught the attention of Sanyang Motor Co., LTD in Taiwan, known as “SYM” around the world. SYM is renowned for its quality and innovation and is the global leader in scooter technology and manufacturing. SYM awarded Lance Powersports the distribution rights of its product in the United States. By doing so Lance was able to make a shift to a new product line which offered a new level of quality and value to their customers and franchised dealer network. 

Since 2009, Lance Powersports has worked hand and hand with SYM to bring a line-up of products that has been the benchmark on the floors of scooter dealers around the country such as the Cali Classic, Cabo, PCH and the Havana Classic. Our product can be seen in every city across the country and is known for quality, reliability, value, and fun.
